Tip #5 is: DO IT NOW!!!
I mean… START TODAY.
Don’t pick a day to get started.
For instance, don’t say to yourself, “I’ll start on Monday.”
When you do that several things usually happen.
First of all, you know you’re going to “start a diet” on Monday, so you eat everything in sight until Monday, telling yourself,
“It’ll be okay. I’m giving all this up on Monday.”
Then Monday comes and you’ve put on 3 or 4 pounds from your “last big splurge.”
You don’t have to do that.
Remember, with the Diet-Tips-That-Work.com 80/20 Plan, you don’t have to totally give up anything. You can still splurge once in a while.
Also, keep in mind, you’re not “starting a diet.”
You’re beginning a new way of eating.
A new way of life.
Every meal or snack is a new opportunity to make smart decisions regarding what fuel to put inside your body.
Smart food choices
Be aware that you won’t do everything right all the time.
You will screw up.
(there’s that big but again)
You can start over
at the very next meal!
You are not on a diet.
You are learning to make better food decisions, every time you eat.
That’s what we’re here for.
Diet-Tips-That-Work.com is here to help you learn to make the right decisions every day, at every meal.
The best way to get all the info you need is to subscribe to the Diet-Tips-That-Work.com Newsletter.
(I’m sure some of you are thinking, “If I’m not on a diet, then why do they call it Diet-Tips-That-Work.com?” Well, I know it may seem kinda hypocritical, but it’s not. It’s just a short, easy to remember web address. People come here dreading a starvation diet, then we give them the good news. You know, the 80/20 Plan. No starvation or deprivation.)
Come back tomorrow for another tip.
Tip #4 is: When you go out to eat….. Split your food in half
I mean, if you’re married or in an established relationship,
(you don’t want to try this on the first few dates)
order one meal and split it.
Order two salads, of course. But only order one meal/entree.
Come on, you don’t need to read daily diet tips online to know that most restaurants bring enough food on one plate to feed a small village in Kenya or Etheopia.
If you’re flying solo, ask for a to-go box or container when you order. Then immediately box up half of your food the moment it arrives at your table.
But, you might ask, what if I’m still hungry when I finish my meal?
Try having a small sorbet or a cup of espresso.
Most of the time we eat so fast that our body doesn’t have a chance to let us know we’re full. So, we keep eating even after our stomach is full.
You know exactly what I’m talking about.
How many times have you eaten the salad, the bread, the huge entree and all the side dishes, only to leave the restaurant feeling like you’ll never have to eat again in your life?
You know, the “put me in a wheelbarrow and wheel me to the car, ’cause I ain’t walkin’ it” feeling?
When your stomach is empty, it’s about the size of your fist. So obviously it doesn’t take a whole pizza or a pound of steak to fill it.
It’s easy if it’s just you. You get dinner tonight, and lunch tomorrow for one price!
Logistically, it can be a little tricky for couples at first. You need to agree on one choice. You can take turns choosing, or if you can’t agree, you can do the solo routine I described above.
BUT, (oh, no, the dreaded big but again)
I can’t stress this strongly enough:
- It only works if you ask for a to-go container when you order your food
- It only works if you box up half of your food the moment it arrives at your table
- And, finally and most importantly, it only works if you don’t “graze” from your to-go box
99% of eateries will accomodate your request, because they need your business. Especially in todays economic climate.
So, depending on how often you go out to eat, this can be the most important daily diet tip you’ll ever get.

Daily Diet Tip #3 is: Don’t overindulge in alchohol
I know. What a kill-joy. What a stick-in-the-mud.
I know I am. But, with the holidays coming, there are a few things you should consider when deciding whether or not to drink.
Number 1 –
Booze has calories.
That doesn’t mean you can’t have a drink or two. Just remember, if you “get your drunk on” you could easily drink the equivalent of half a day’s worth of calories or more. Holiday Diet Tips
You may be thinking, “But, I can’t loosen up and have fun without a couple of drinks.”
Fine. No problem. Just make sure you only have a couple of drinks.
Seriously, decide how many you’ll have before you arrive. Then, when the host comes by with the drink tray, stick by your decision.
Number 2 –
Booze affects your judgement.
I know how obvious this sounds, but drunk decisions are usually unwise decisions.
Assuming you’ve had a few too many at least once in your life, what did you do after leaving the bar? I dunno, maybe go out to breakfast?
What’d you have? Something halfway sensible like a chef’s salad or club sandwich?
I’m guessing it was something more like…eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, waffles…shall I continue or do you get the picture?
Number 3 –
Drinking and driving is just plain stupid.
And, extremely dangerous.
I know Number 3 isn’t really a daily diet tip. Consider it a Public Service Announcement.

Daily Diet Tip #2 is: Take 2 bottles of water with you to work or school tomorrow
Many times people mistake hunger for thirst.
Tomorrow, mid-morning or mid-afternoon, when you feel the urge to go to the snack machine, DON’T!!!
Remember, when you’re trying to lose weight, you shouldn’t skip meals. You need to eat breakfast and lunch. If you did, then you’re probably not really hungry.
Try drinking a bottle of water instead of snacking. You’ll probably find that you can survive just fine until lunch or dinner.
But, if you really feel like you need to munch something, don’t get it from the snack machine (unless it’s peanuts.) Bring a granola bar, or some carrot or celery sticks, or some whole grain crackers. Anything halfway healthy that won’t derail your weight loss efforts.
So, get up, right now, and put a note by your car keys that reads,
“Remember your water.”
Then, come back to the computer and check out the rest of this website. You’ll be on the right track.
Have a great day.

High fiber fruits such as pears, red grapes, papaya, oranges, mango, and avocado also help to burn fat. They boost the creation of the amino acid L-cartinine, which is a body fat burner. One food that must not be ignored at breakfast is oatmeal. Not only does it contain fiber but lowers the level of cholesterol in the blood.
Apart from protein and fiber rich foods, those that contain antioxidants such as red kidney beans, artichokes, russet potatoes, and many from the berry family including strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, and black plums have fat burning properties.
Lean meat and salmon also have the ability to burn body fat. The complex carbohydrates contained in whole grains burn body fat and help to maintain blood sugar levels as well.
The secret of the 7 day soup diet
A 7 day soup diet is among the simple fat burning recipes that contains almost no calories. A vegetable soup is a healthy addition to a diet. The soup ought to include vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, and beef on one of the days of the diet. Each day, along with the soup it is essential to include other fat burning foods.
For example, on the first day you can include fruits followed by leafy green vegetables on the second day; a combination of fruits and vegetables on the third day; protein and calcium rich foods like skim milk and bananas on the fourth day; red meat and tomatoes on the fifth day; fruits, meat and vegetables on the sixth day, and vegetables and brown rice on the seventh day.
Vegetable soup must be consumed at least three times a day during the soup diet.
Once you are aware of what are fat burning foods, it is easy to make a fat burning diet plan. Don’t forget that green tea is also an excellent fat burner. So, drink at least three cups a day and you will soon begin to lose weight the natural way.
